HISTORY
Jumao-as Baguio Learning Center, Inc. was founded in 2011 by the loving philanthropist couple Crispo Donato Alcordo and Milagros Jumao-as Alcordo.
Crispo has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Accounting with experience in a nationwide transport company and Milagros has extensive work experience in various fields as a registered nurse in the Philippines.
Together, with their love of people and God they set out to improve the educational climate of Cordova. Beginning with a partnership to start CARE (Cordova Alternative Resource for Education) a school for the street children of Cordova bringing in container loads of books and school supplies. This slowly opened the doors for the opportunity to establish a private school reflecting their educational, moral and religious philosophies to the people of Cordova.
Thus in 2011 JBLC (Jumao-as Baguio Learning Center, Inc.) was born, registered and approved by the Department of Trade and Industry, Security and Exchange Commission and the Philippines Department of Education.
It is now a K-12 registered school with expansion plans in process to complete the second storey classrooms to include a Computer Room, Science Laboratory, Home Economics, Music and Multimedia rooms.
It has been through the hard work and determination of the Alcordo family along with the support and dedication of the Board of Directors, parents, teachers, PTAs, and the community over the years, donors and benefactors and the positive word of mouth feedback which has ensured the continuing growth and excellence of this school.
Each student in this school is a star, provided with a safe haven and a family oriented God respecting environment reflecting the legacies of its owners and administrators and we thank all those who are or were involved past and present.
